The architecture of Oia is usually presented in Color. I feel the geometry of the buildings are best captured in their purest in Black and White. These photographs capture the pure form of Santorini.
These prints are mould made paper handcoated with Platinum and Palladium. Each is unique with microtextures from the paper, the brushwork of the emulsion and the flow of the developer and the platinum.
Platinum printing is the most difficult and most permanent photographic process. It is known for its delicate highlights and beautiful rich blacks. Each print is hand coated, hand printed and completely unique. The process is documented here
